KC Current Art
This custom artwork was commissioned by Generator Studio as a gift to the Kansas City Current, in recognition of Generator's role as the Architect of Record for the team’s newly opened stadium, CPKC Stadium. The project involved capturing photographs of the stadium and transforming them into digital collages. The final pieces were printed, framed, and presented to the client.
The artwork’s theme centers on CPKC Stadium’s unique position as the world’s first stadium purpose-built for a women’s professional sports team. The collages explore both macro and micro perspectives: the macro captures grand architectural features such as the sweeping roof, the framing of the stadium by the Missouri River and downtown Kansas City skyline, while the micro zooms in on finer details like the teal-woven seats, which tie in with the Current's brand, and the textures of the stadium's materials.
